Kind of like what Qwest did to me when I subscribed to their phone service.

I think I had them for about a week. After becoming inundated with solicitation calls, asking for me BY NAME, I quickly figured out that they sold my name & number to the telemarketers. ( We were in the house all of 2 days when I started getting the never ceasing telemarketing calls) THEY were the ONLY ones to have had access to that number at that point.

Oh, let me not forget that I HAD their DSL service. After 3 hours on the phone (total) with their inept "Tech Support" I quickly figured I had a problematic modem. Of course, it wasn't THEIR fault  Thank GOD I have a strong background in electronics.

Now, I'm on Comcast. I have my reservations about cable telephone because I used to do that gig. So far, it's been better than the product my old company delivered. Their internet has been far more reliable than "Qwerst". However, storm season hasn't arrived and I KNOW there will be outages that will probably irk me to no end.

We had Qworst for years; we finally got smart and got cell phones and cable modem (EarthLink), which is ok, just ok.
