Since the thread's here anyway...
I've been using Spybot S&D for years. I've never played with the IMMUNIZE button. Am I missing that much?

You know what also works really cool? OpenDNS.com
You redirect your modem to use their DNS servers which screen out a bunch of malware sites. You can also play with the other settings and block porn and other annoying things like illegal file sharing sites from your whole network without having to use expensive and labor-intensive filters. It gives a father of many boys a little peace of mind.

Q_Continuum wrote: If you look carefully on their page, you can still download the 'free' version. (It very much exists) What's happened, is there is this company called 'TrialPay' that if you sign up for an offer with a 3rd party, they pay that 'referral fee' to TrialPay, who in turn pays the software company. (In this case, Lavasoft)
They'd rather you go that route, as that means they get a few bucks instead of another free customer. Which, if the offer's right...might not be a bad idea (say, if you're planning on trying out Netflix anyway, if they're willing to toss you the Pro version of an app for signing up? Why not get a bonus?) I haven't done any of the TrialPay stuff yet. I just find the 'Free' link. (Lavasoft doesn't bury it like some vendors I've seen do)
The way around that is not to get it from AdAware's page. Go to download.com or an alternate site and you won't have to worry about the trialpay junk. DeanC, Pinemail? You are really showing your age. LOL
