Why is Clearwater so high? I am not from around here and don't know what is up there. It is like 5 or so points worse than the counties around it and Kanabec county is the only one within 2% of it and Kanebec is two points above the next lowwer bunch. Why are those two counties so bad off?

Clearwater County has "Team Industries". They are an assembly plant for "driveline solutions" for smaller vehicles, such as snowmobiles and ATV's.

They laid off a ton of people.

I had a roommate that works with them (at least he did 2 years ago) and long before the economy dump, they were having problems. Pay cuts, hours slashed, etc...
