Maybe this forum (Revolvers vs Semiautos) should change the focus to just handgun chat. Doesn't look like it's getting much action.
I really don't have enough experience with revolvers to debate. Though, lately I've really wanted one (snub-nosed .357).
(pick the third option to vote to keep me from doing polls)
* This is not a scientific poll and it may have no actual bearing on changing the name.

I agree.
Just about every time I look at the index, I thnk to myself "Why does it have to be Revolvers VS. Automatics?" Can't we all just get alo... ?

I like, have and use both. Depending on the situation sometimes one is better than the other but they both have their place.

hmm, did he vote? The poll isn't over yet! I put 7 days on it.
Well, I suppose he doesn't have to.

There are obvious differences between revolvers and self-loading handguns. These differences should be understood by the packing community.
Debate has always been the key to understanding in this country. Therfore, a certain amount of 'dickering' is appropriate.
Leave the VS there, it is appropriate as it highlights the point / counterpoint nature of the debate.
Besides, changing the name will not deter the zealots on either side of the debate.

I agree that there are differences and that it's important that people understand the differences.
My feeling on it is that "vs" would be more appropriate in the title for a thread, rather than a title for the forum itself. Note the (imo) consipicous absence of a general handgun forum on TCC w/o the change to "and" from "vs". If one simply wants to discuss pistols, the only forum that covers that would be the free fire zone where all pistol (and revolver) questions will be intermingled with attack dog and good restaurant threads.
