I would just say that had S&W put a grip safety on the MP line they just brought out, it would be the clear winner.

I have fired all three and the M&P is the best in the had to me so far, shoots like a dream, nice clean break in the SA trigger. BUt I have to say, I never feel good about pushing a non safety equipped weapon into a holster without a safety.

I have not fired the M&P yet but that was my thought as well upon seeing it. Actually, now that I've carried for awhile (almost exactly 6 months) I think the grip safety is a bit less important to me than it was but it would sure be nice.

Man does the M&P compact feel nice though. Out Glocking the Glock. The trigger safety is also better executed from a smoothe finger engagement standpoint but I worry about it being prone to failure more than the glock or XD because it's a hinged pin in the trigger where the whole trigger pivots rather than the internatl piece sandwiched between the outer triggers. (I suspect you'll have to find pictures to understand what I'm trying to say.)
