Post subject: | Used Revolver Value |
This is probably the most frequently asked question by newbies and for that I apologize. I have my heart set on a new pistol. ( A Taurus 24/7 Pro 40 S&W) I will no longer require the services of my trusty revolver. I've been searching on line and talked to a couple of shops but I can't seem to get a consistent appraisal. Here's what I have: A Taurus .41 Magnum, Titanium with a 4 inch barrel. It has less than 500 rounds through it. There is some holster wear so I would rate the condition at "Slightly Used" I also have a Galco holster, several hundred rounds of brass, about 250 JHP bullets, 3 dies, and a can or two of Hogdons 110. Obviously I don't need all the extras if I sell the gun. The suggested retail on this revolver new is $795. Any ideas on a package value. Thanks |

I would note that the powder is only worth something if it is not open. An open can of powder is worth nothing more than the pretty flame it makes when you dump it in a safe area and light it on fire. I personally would never use and open can of powder to reload from unless I was the one that opened it. Just my thought. Sorry I can't help you out on the value, I haven't followed the Taurus market, although I do own both Rugers and S&W in .41 magnums. |
