A culture of corruption much like that at the Metro GTF.

Quote:
An agent from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is expected to tell the court that investigators lied in order to get permission to put a wiretap on Holloway's phones. * * *

In a posting on the whistle- blower Web site http://www.CleanUpATF.org, Cefalu said investigators took "illegal shortcuts" to get the Holloway wiretap. "The officers committed perjury in their application affidavit for the tap," Cefalu wrote in the posting.

When Cefalu spoke up about the "unethical and illegal" actions, he was removed from the case.

The Modesto Bee link appears to be dead.

This has been said many times by many people far more intelligent and informed than I, but everything the ATF is "supposed" to do is done better by other existing agencies. It must be a mad scramble each day to justify their existence.

I have no doubt, however, that Ron Ryan Sr. probably has a copy of the ATF policies and procedures manual.

Try this one. Same event, different story, somewhat different perspective: http://www.modbee.com/local/story/793858.html
I think the "dead link was entered wrong, this one looks like the right one: http://www.modbee.com/local/story/792541.html
