I have a shoulder holster that squeaks and creaks something awful. I'd like to be able to use this holster more but it is just too damn noisy!
The Holster is a Bianchi X-15. I was wondering if there is any kind of treatment that I could put on it that will eliminate the squeak. I have thought about using saddle soap. I know that generaly is not recomended for holsters but if you are familiar with the design of the X-15 it is not molded to a particular gun and the retention is from the spring steel not the molding so I don't think that some softening of the leather would affect the performance of the holster. I just don't know if it would stop the squeak.
So... I'm posting the question here to see if anyone has any ideas that would help.

I don't know if this would work on a shoulder rig but for my OWB holsters I just rub bar soap on my belt and any contact areas on the holster and the noise is gone.

Baby powder works well.
