I have been carrying with this for a few weeks now. I absolutely LOVE it. I carry at the 3 oclock under a sweatshirt. Great concealment, easy to walk, bend, sit, drive, etc.

Probably my only complaint is that even with the tightener loosened a bit, it CAN stick (well not stick, but take a little more force) after its been in a while. I think it will loosen up after a while as well.

I've got a Don Hume holster (great stuff, same league as Galco) for my G27 that's like that. My only complaint is that in pulling the grip in it pushes the slide out making it fairly conspicuous compared to a pancake holster. Still a great design.

Hey WestSideGuy, do I get credit for the Askins advice? 
You have to be REAL careful with the tension screw. I did the same thing with my Askins (also a tight fit) and the screw and molded washer disappeared one day. It took me about 6 weeks to get a replacement from Blackhawk. My advice is to holster and reholster (with your unloaded XD) while you're watching the tube. It will stretch slightly to fit. I've kept the tension tighter on mine since I got the replacement screw.
That said, the Askins is the perfect combination of a belt and pancake holster. I like pancake holsters because of how molded they fit to your side, but leather pancake holsters also tend to "collapse" slightly when you draw, which can make reholstering require two hands (a bad thing). The Askins has a belt loop, and one side of the pancake, that seems to give the best of both worlds.
How's your order coming on the IWB version?
