I got 'em! The postman delivered two new holsters to me last Saturday for the new (to me) Ruger SP-101. I strapped it on, snug (Very!) in the OWB 'snap' model, and carried it all afternoon and into the evening. Most of the time, I forgot it was there. My 'normal' carry gun is a Kimber ProCarry alloy model. The snubbie, even at the same weight, is smaller and more compact. It really feels good on my belt. The other holster is a 'Rough Out' pocket model. It, too, works nicely. The 2 1/4 inch snubbie is a bit too much for carrying in pants pockets but works well in a coat. The extra material at the opening (meant to hold the mouth of the holster open, I presume) adds a bit of thickness, making it too wide for pants-pocket carry. .357 revolvers, even 5-shot models - are a bit 'fat' for pants pockets anyway. A 642 probably has a thin-wall cylinder, making it easier, eh? Erik told me he'd ship on Friday and I got 'em on Saturday. I like 'em! jb |

Thanks for the business JonnyB. Enjoy your two new holsters and if The Snap needs to loosen up a bit just bend along the stitching lines a little at a time. |

Well, as long as we are talking getting things in the mail...I to received a package in the mail from SGH. It contained the IWB for a P99 and a new belt. The fit and finish are excellent on both. Thanks again SGH. Now I just have to convince the wife that I need Bersa .380 and I will be set, and I can send some more business to SGH!!

She's talking about getting a dog; can you getting another pistol be too much to hope for? Be careful what you wish for. My wife is a 52-year-old grandmother! Are you sure you want a picture? Our dog is a 4-month-old pup (Boston Terrier/Border Collie mix). Both wife and pup are cuties! (If grandmas can be cute, that is.) I have no photos of either the revolver or holsters. jb

The lakes are somewhat iced-over, too. Must have been an ice-fishing accident. Too bad about all those guns in the lake. See if you can find mine while looking for yours! To get back on track... I sure do like the smell of genuine leather holsters! Plastic and nylon just don't have the same ambiance. Erik - do you have shoulder holsters? (I guess I could check the website, eh?) jb |

KEEP asking him that question ... I want a SGH shoulder holster ( I suspect I DON'T want to pay the R&D costs )

Why in the world would anyone want to have a shoulder holster? While on base in Iraq I carried my (way too heavy) Beretta in a shoulder holster for a while, and was unhappy with the comfort of it. It might have been from the constant 110-130 degree temps and my shoulders would constantly be wet where the straps were from sweat. However if you do not attach it sides to your belt, or pants with the straps, which is hard to do while wearing an ACU top (replacement for the BDU's) it is always hitting you in the ribs while walking. Just my .02, and no you cannot keep it. I am saving up for some SCUBA gear to find all of my (and everyone else's) guns in the lakes around here  !
