Received a call today from Obama campaign. I asked for his position on the 2nd amendment. The person did not know what the second amendment is or what I was referring too. She stated, "never heard of it"

You should have asked her to hand the phone to the person next to them so they can MAYBE answer that he hate it and does not believe in personal rights or personal responsibility.

i know i'm not the first to say it, but we as a society are in some serious trouble

She must have been a fan of the Dirty Dozen with the "never heard of it!" My father and I always laugh at that line.

LOL never heard of it ... That's pretty classic ...
I visited Obama's website before he began to run for president. Back then, his position included "Ban on all semi-autos. No excuses." I'll never forget reading that. Of course, his website now has a million dollar make-over. I just visited his website and couldn't find the 2A section ... might not even be there. It's kind of funny that when a man runs for president, his opinions dissapear from his personal website and are replaced by glam sound-bytes.

Neither has Osama-Muhammad-Obama. (That is how I refer to him)

I'm assuming you are referring to his stance on the war, not his religion (he is Christian, not Muslim).
He's not my choice either, just making sure that we perpetuate the truth. We never know who reads these boards and can take stuff out of context.

On CNN they have Obama as wanting "National ban on concealed carry".
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/issues/issues.gun.html
So his stand on guns is:
- Make handguns illegal to transport, sell, transfer.
- Ban on all semi-automatics (no excuses he says)
- National Ban on Concealed carry, which would over-ride vermont/alaska as well as all permit holders. CNN says the only exception would be retired LEO's.
Thomas Jefferson is rolling over in his grave that somebody like this can be a politician in America.

Hillary is actually pretty conservative. Of course conservatism has developed over time, especially in the last month or so. Now McCain is "conservative". So Hillary is fairly close.
But Obama is from the people that believe everything and know nothing. He stands for "change" and with his party in power we'll probably be up to our neck in "change".
IMHO. If I could take Hillary right now, or await the election, I'd not hesitate.

Chelsea said that the woman her dad used to sleep with would propose to bring back the assault weapons ban. If it was same assault weapons ban we had before, it would be better than Barack Hussein Obama's proposals.
Of course, I'd prefer the status quo.

Fred D. Thompson is conservative. McCain is a liberal, Clinton is a Socialist and Obama is a Communist.
If Obama had his way, we could start the Cold War all over again, except in this go around, the roles would be reversed.
At least Dick got one thing right, Obama knows nothing.
