Quote:
MINNEAPOLIS -- A state legislator says he was "scared to death" when he was robbed outside his north Minneapolis home.

Representative Willie Dominguez says two young men robbed him of $40 in the driveway of his home Wednesday night, shortly after he returned from the state Capitol.

Dominguez says one of the robbers held a gun to his face.

Dominguez was not hurt.

Police are looking for suspects.

Other than references to Email, the sole reference to him in this forum is here (he defeated Katch in the last election):

I believe that in the Strib the victim noted that one of the perps told him as they were leaving that things were getting "tough" out here.

The economy made them do it.

From the CCRN newsletter in 2006:

Code:
Candidate                   Party  District  Grade
AUGUSTINE WILLIE DOMINGUEZ  D      58B       F*

F* means he didn't return CCRN's survey.

That's the problem. We need some MPD lemonade to stop these crimes.

Okay, which instructor wants to take advantage of this obvious educational opportunity?

Oooh, me! Me! I still have my letter template from the last guy.

Quote:
Mr. <strike>Opat</strike> Dominguez,

I am sorry to hear of your recent <strike>assault and</strike><u>armed</u> robbery, and I'm relieved that you emerged <strike>relatively</strike> unscathed. As you are no doubt aware, we can become targets of crime when and where we least expect it.

If you are interested, I would be happy to arrange a mutually convenient time for a Minnesota Permit to Carry class. Although I often offer these classes to victims of violent crime at no charge, I would understand if you felt more comfortable, given Minn. Stat. 609.42, paying the standard fee.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know why I am amazed that your template was *that* close. But that was time well invested.

I'd say it's time for a follow up with literature and card.

There are times shameless self promotion is a GOOD feature :-)
