Miracles do happen. The big question is this: Whom might he have punched around out of frustration? Poor beleaguered dad is gone. Quote: COUNTY SHERIFF Total Number of Precincts 178 Precincts Reporting 174 97.8 % Total Votes 151720
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MATT BOSTROM 86750 57.18% BOB FLETCHER 64366 42.42% Write-in Votes 604 0.40%

Joel, for one, called this one a few weeks ago. Me? As I mentioned on Andrew's forum, I don't remember the last time I was so happy to be wrong about an election prediction.

Even though I don't live in Ramsey County, I was very happy to see him go - and managed to convince some folks of the idea of voting for Bostrom, simply based on a few examples I've learned (through this forum and others) of his behavior...
Looking forward to seeing how Sheriff Bostrom performs in office. b

That's all we need, another Bostrom in office, his dad is our city councilman and stinks....

I voted for Fletcher because we have too many Bostrom's in office now. His father is the city councilman for our district and he is lousy. When I got my permit to carry in 2003, he and his fellow sheriff buddy in Washington Country were definitely against it, but when I went to renew it in 2007, I went in on a Monday and the permit came to me on Friday. It seems like he had seen the light about gun battles in the streets like the Democrats were worried about and was sending out the permits very quickly... He also told it like it was and many people didn't like that either. The Jury is still out on another Bostrom in office in my opinion and I hope he is better than his dad..

We'll see. I think -- and think I'll shortly be able to prove -- that the Bostrom administration is far better than average, and certainly lightyears beyond the Fletcher regime.

I had to reapply once Fletcher was voted out as I was given a wrongful denial (1 dwi in 06) and dont have the money to spend 1000+ on a lawyer. App was turned in on the 14th. Now back to the waiting game.

One swallow does not make a summer, but I can hear a whole flock beating their wings. I sure hope so; I said he'll make us proud of having supported him, and for all sorts of reasons -- including the selfish ones -- I'd really, really hate to be wrong on this.
